Born in Lüneburg, Germany, Andreas Nagel trained as an
electrical & mechanical engineer and traveled the world as a
technical manager. During extended trips to South Asia, the Far East
and Latin America, the local art inspired Andreas to use many different
materials and to mix the art of European masters with the exotic arts
of the places he visited, such as Mongolia, Columbia, Singapore,
Shanghai India and Mexico City.
After moving to the United States in 1989 for a career in international
business, Andreas learned the art of stained glass and prefers to work
with glass, wood and metal. Of particular interest are the lamps and
lanterns that look beautiful in sunlight and by candlelight.
He currently lives and works in Roswell, Georgia and signs his art
pieces ARN.
